I wrote this piece in college when I'd heard that a good friend's family member had committed suicide. I was too distraught and immature to articulate my feelings well, and instead I stewed in them, wrote and recorded this in 1 day and sent it along with the best words I could muster.

Please ask how your loved ones are doing, and listen to them. My experience with depression and suicidal thoughts are that a very small amount of honest and open communication can make all the difference.

This piece is an Elegy for all of the people who suffer so much they chose to end their own lives.
