Eden ahbez, the original songwriter of this epic classic made famous by Nat King Cole, purportedly wrote it in a cave in Palm desert where he lived with a group of "Naturmenschen." They were a group of people who as early as the 1950's followed an ideal of veganism, long hair, and beards that was the precursor to the hippie movement in the U.S. It made me so happy to know that I had to name the whole release after this one concept.

Also, a special mention must be made on behalf of Sumie Kaneko and Alex Smith, who helped make my diatonic re-arrangement of this chromatic masterpiece the shiny polished flower that I could listen to over and over again. A big thank you to both of you.
